About

The University of Iowa Men’s Lacrosse club competes year round against other universities across the Midwest in the Great Lakes Lacrosse League (GLLL). The club has roots dating back to 1977 and prides itself in offering competitive lacrosse at a minimal cost to UI students.

The fall season typically consists of scrimmages and 1-2 tournaments, while the spring season offers competitive league play ending with a championship tournament in Madison, Wisconsin. All games and tournaments are held on weekends so not to interfere with student schedules.

The team typically practices 2-3 evenings per week at the Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex (HTRC) located off Mormon Trek Blvd on the west side of Iowa City. Freshman can take the Hawkeye Interdorm Cambus route to the HTRC until they find a spot in a car pool with returning players. In general, the best way to find out more information about joining the team is by getting in contact with a senior executive, coach, or captain.

The most up to date information regarding game locations and times can be found on the GLLL master schedule and fields pages.

Parents and fans are encouraged to like and post pictures on the Iowa Men’s Lacrosse Fan Site Facebook page.
